New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced on October 14 that the Centre has approved Rs 400 crore from the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for the development of 13 state highways in Andhra Pradesh, covering a total length of 200.06 km.
In addition, a budget of Rs 98 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a four-lane road overbridge (ROB) at Shankar Vilas on the Guntur-Nallapadu railway line. The ROB aims to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the region.

This announcement comes after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recently met with the Union Minister to discuss the state’s infrastructure needs. These initiatives are expected to boost the road infrastructure and contribute to the overall economic growth of Andhra Pradesh.
The projects will play a key role in enhancing transport facilities and providing smoother travel across the state.
