Visakhapatnam: Renowned music director and Swachha Visakha ambassador, RP Patnaik, urged citizens to join hands in making Visakhapatnam a plastic-free city. Speaking at an awareness and pledge-taking event organized by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) at RK Beach, RP Patnaik highlighted the pressing need to reduce plastic consumption to safeguard the environment.

“Visakhapatnam is a city blessed with unparalleled natural beauty. It is our duty to protect it for future generations. Single-use plastics pose a significant threat to both health and the ecosystem. Together, we can eliminate this menace,” RP Patnaik stated, calling on residents to adopt eco-friendly alternatives.
