Guntur: Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated an Anna Canteen in Nulakapeta, Tadepalli Mandal, Guntur district, personally serving breakfast to several attendees. Following the launch of Anna Canteens by CM Chandrababu Naidu in Gudivada on August 15, an additional 99 canteens were opened across the state on August 16, with TDP ministers and MLAs presiding over the ceremonies.
Anna Canteens offer meals at just Rs 5, aiming to serve 1.05 lakh people daily across three meals—35,000 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each. Initially, 100 canteens have been launched, with the remaining to be opened in subsequent phases as construction completes.
In his address, Nara Lokesh highlighted that only those violating laws or causing public harm will be punished, countering YSRCP’s accusations against the TDP government. He reiterated the commitment to fulfilling all promises made to the people of Mangalagiri and mentioned ongoing projects, including the establishment of a Gold Hub and the installation of underground power lines.
