Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao in the assembly today has claimed that the Andhra Pradesh government owes Rs. 17,828 Cr to the Telangana discoms. It is known that the centre has ordered Telangana to clear the Rs. 6,000 Cr power dues to Andhra Pradesh in a month.
KCR criticized that centre has been one-sided in this issue. “Our power dues are only Rs. 3,000 Cr but the interest rates are another Rs. 3,000 Cr. I urge the centre should make Andhra Pradesh adjust the Rs. 6,000 Cr dues and make the remaining payment they owe.”
TRS boss questioned the centre’s silence on AP’s dues to Telangana. KCR has also challenged in the assembly that if his statistics are proven to be wrong, he is ready to resign. KCR said that the power situation in Telangana is bound to improve if the Yadadri power plant is completed.
