Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court conducted a hearing on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) requesting the transfer of cases filed against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

During the proceedings, the court directed that the Supreme Court’s orders on the matter be presented before it for review. The petitioners argued that cases against Chandrababu Naidu were politically motivated and sought an independent probe by the central agency.
The High Court bench, after reviewing the initial arguments, decided to defer the case, adjourning the hearing for two months. The delay will allow both parties to gather necessary legal documents and Supreme Court directives relevant to the matter.
With the legal battle continuing, political analysts see this as a crucial case in Andhra Pradesh politics, especially considering the past political rivalry between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the YSRCP. The court’s final decision on whether the cases should be handled by the CBI could have significant implications.
