Hyderabad: Global electronics giant Foxconn, part of the Hon Hai Technology Group, is set to expand its operations in Telangana. The company is already moving forward with production plans on a 120-acre site in Kongarakalan, Ranga Reddy district.
On October 14, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, visited the construction site to review progress.
Foxconn’s Chairman and CEO, Young Liu, participated via video conference, expressing interest in further investments in the electric and lithium battery sectors. The company highlighted issues such as visa delays for technical experts from China and customs challenges with importing advanced equipment. They also requested an additional 60 acres of land for expansion.
CM Revanth Reddy assured full support, instructing officials to resolve these issues quickly and granting approval for the extra land.
Telangana’s favorable business environment has attracted major international investments, making it a preferred destination for industrial growth.
