Visakhapatnam: In a landmark move for the medical technology and materials science industries, ASM International has inaugurated its Vizag Chapter at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) in Visakhapatnam. The event saw participation from notable figures, including Pradeep Goyal, Former President of ASM International and CMD of Pradeep Metals, and Dr. Navin Manjooran, President of ASM International and Chairman of Solve, Florida.
The ASM Vizag Chapter aims to foster innovation and collaboration among manufacturers, businesses, and students, focusing on advancing materials science in the medtech sector. This initiative positions Vizag as a hub for cutting-edge materials research and development, particularly in medical devices and diagnostics.
Pradeep Goyal hailed the chapter’s launch as a ‘historic day,’ highlighting its unprecedented start with 100 members. He noted the potential for collaboration between materials science and medical technology to achieve transformative results.
Dr. Jitendra Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of AMTZ, expressed pride in hosting the chapter, calling it a ‘purpose-driven society’ aligned with AMTZ’s vision of innovation in healthcare technology.
