Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker Thammineni Sitharam has taken a key decision in the assembly. He has imposed a ban on using mobile phones inside the assembly. He has expressed displeasure that the opposition parties are protesting in the assembly sessions and are recording the protests which are unlawful, according to the speaker.

The protests inside the assembly are not permitted. Therefore they shouldn’t be in the records. Which shouldn’t be in the records, shouldn’t be circulated outside, said the speaker.

The decision was taken after Telugu Desam Party started protesting against the ruling party regarding the Jangareddy Gudem deaths issue. They protested that govt has failed miserably in this regard. AP speaker has suspended 10 MLAs in this issue.

Thus, Sitharam has said to keep the mobile phones of the MLAs outside before entering the assembly.
