Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government and Police Department have intensified efforts to curb abusive language, misinformation, and morphed images on social media. Under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s directive, a crackdown is underway to promote responsible online behavior, with Tollywood stars and public figures lending their support.
The #PostNoEvil campaign, supported by celebrities such as Daggubati Venkatesh, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Nikhil Siddharth, and former cricket captain Mithali Raj, has created widespread awareness. Their message: “Clean social media is possible with awareness and discipline. Post no evil against women or individuals.”

Police have issued notices to over 100 individuals under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and arrested several for spreading defamatory content and morphed images, including those targeting political leaders like Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha and APCC president YS Sharmila Reddy.
As part of the campaign, the Andhra Pradesh Digital Corporation has launched statewide ‘Three Monkeys’ posters, highlighting “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.”
CID teams are actively monitoring accounts spreading misinformation and have filed over 100 cases against offenders. With Tollywood’s support and strict enforcement, officials aim to foster a healthier and more respectful digital environment.
