Amaravati: In a bid to promote Amaravati as a world-class capital, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced plans to engage influential personalities and celebrities as brand ambassadors. A government order (GO No. 107), issued by the municipal administration and urban development department, outlines the initiative aimed at boosting Amaravati’s global image.

The AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) will appoint ambassadors for a one-year term, extendable based on necessity. These high-profile individuals will promote Amaravati’s vision of sustainability, innovation, and smart urban planning while showcasing its eco-friendly infrastructure and citizen-centric design.
According to the GO, the ambassadors will help attract investors, participate in conferences and workshops, and engage with educational institutions and local communities. Their role includes using social media, media interviews, and blogs to highlight Amaravati’s development, success stories, and opportunities.
The initiative is part of Andhra Pradesh’s strategy to position Amaravati as a model city for planned urbanization, drawing national and international attention.
