Key Highlights

  • Automated Approvals: Registered engineers, architects, or Licensed Technical Persons (LTPs) can submit self-certification affidavits online via the APDPMS portal in the presence of property owners.
  • Instant Permissions: If all required documents are uploaded correctly, approvals are granted automatically, allowing immediate construction upon fee payment.
  • Government Initiative: Announced by MAUD Minister P Narayana in December 2024, formalized by GO issued in February 2025.
  • Scope: Applicable to properties in approved layouts, village councils, circulation plans, and reconstruction of pre-1985 buildings.

Implementation & Oversight

  • Municipal Commissioners can issue stop-work orders for major violations.
  • The town planning department will oversee, rather than regulate, construction.

Industry Response

Former AP CREDAI Chairman Shiva Reddy welcomed the move, stating, “This initiative will boost the construction sector and benefit builders and commoners, but strict monitoring is needed to prevent misuse.”
