Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government is committed to providing welfare houses to all eligible poor residents by 2029, Housing Minister K Parthasarathy announced on July 29.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the Andhra Pradesh Housing Corporation Ltd, setting a goal to complete 1.25 lakh houses within the next 100 days and 8.25 lakh houses in a year.
Additionally, the CM has directed officials to initiate housing projects for journalists, middle-class, and lower-middle-class citizens, similar to projects in SR Nagar and Kukatpally Housing Board in Hyderabad.
The government also plans to build houses for Polavaram Project evacuees. These initiatives underscore the state’s commitment to improving housing conditions for its residents.
