Singanamala: Singanamala MLA Bandaru Sravanthi of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has come under fire for her alleged involvement in the arrest of a TDP worker. Reports claim that the MLA pressured authorities to file a rape case against the worker, allegedly involving a girl from her own extended family.

The arrest, which occurred during a live telecast, has gone viral on social media, showing police detaining the TDP worker as his family watched in despair. Heart-wrenching scenes unfolded as family members reportedly fainted upon witnessing the incident, leading to a highly emotional situation.
The victim’s family allegedly attempted suicide by consuming pesticide. While locals intervened to save them, their condition remains critical. Distressed family members later staged a protest outside the Garladinne Police Station, demanding justice and accusing the MLA of targeting the TDP worker unjustly.
Adding to the controversy, the arrested worker was seen wearing a TDP scarf and speaking to the media moments before being whisked away in a police jeep.
The incident has sparked outrage among TDP supporters, raising questions about the misuse of political power and the impact on ordinary citizens. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
