AMARAVATI: Satya Kumar Yadav has officially assumed the role of Health and Family Welfare Minister for Andhra Pradesh. The ceremony took place in his chamber at the 5th block of the secretariat, where he took charge amid Vedic chants by priests. Satya Kumar Yadav expressed gratitude to prime minister Narendra Modi, former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan for entrusting him with this significant responsibility.

In his address, Satya Kumar Yadav criticized the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government, accusing it of neglecting the healthcare sector. He alleged that funds meant for the health department were misappropriated during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure. Satya Kumar Yadav vowed to investigate these misdirections, including the misuse of central government schemes and irregularities in the Aarogyasri health scheme.

Satya Kumar Yadav also highlighted his commitment to improving healthcare facilities and services across the state. He promised to enhance infrastructure in hospitals and ensure better medical services for the public. A key focus of his administration, he announced, would be transforming Andhra Pradesh into a cancer-free state.
