Rajendranagar MLA Prakash Goud announced his decision to join the Congress Party. Speaking to the media after visiting Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on July 12, he said, “After the darshan, I have taken a crucial decision. I am joining the Congress Party. My political mentor, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, becoming Chief Minister again brings me joy. Chandrababu is always concerned about the development of the Telugu states.”
Prakash Goud, who won the Telangana Assembly elections last year on a BRS ticket, has a stronghold in the Rajendranagar constituency, having been elected as an MLA four times. He expressed his intent to continue working for development by joining the Congress.
Prakash Goud is expected to formally join the Congress Party on the evening of July 12 in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
