Hyderabad: The current situation of BRS in Telangana is terrible. After losing power in the Assembly elections, the party faced an even more dismal performance in the subsequent Parliament elections, failing to win any of the 17 seats in the state and losing its representation in the Lok Sabha. Shockingly, BRS candidates forfeited their deposits in seven constituencies and managed to secure second place in only two.

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh also fared worse in the recent elections, unable to secure even the status of the main opposition in the Assembly. In Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP, which once dominated with 151 MLAs, suffered a significant blow in the latest elections, dropping to 11 seats. The party’s vote bank plummeted from 50% to 40%, and discontent among the cadre is growing. If YCP doesn’t regain strength before the local body elections in two years, it risks losing more leaders and members.

Both BRS and YSRCP are facing intense trolling on social media, with users dubbing them as ‘parties for sale.’
