Congress chief Sonia Gandhi has lost her mother Paola Maino. She passed away on the 27th of this month. The funeral took place yesterday. Sonia’s mother has been staying back in Italy. Paola Maino was in her 90s and Sonia Gandhi left Italy to visit her ailing mother on August 23rd.
AICC general secretary Jairam Ramesh took to Twitter and updated the news everyone. He tweeted, “Smt. Sonia Gandhi’s mother, Mrs. Paola Maino passed away at her home in Italy on Saturday the 27th of August 2022. The funeral took place yesterday.”
Along with Sonia Gandhi, his son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were abroad and visited her hometown.
