The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced Rs. 25 lakhs reward for underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The anti-terror probe agency has also announced rewards to capture his associates. Rs. 20 lakhs for Dawood’s most trusted assistant Chota Shakeel and Rs 15 lakh each on other key associates Haji Anees alias Anees Ibrahim Shaikh, Javed Patel alias Javed Chikna and Ibrahim Mushtaq Abdul Razzak Memon alias Tiger Memon.

It is known that the NIA registered a fresh case on Dawood Ibrahim who has been the main culprit behind many terror attacks that happened in India. NIA received intel that Dawood Ibrahim set up a special unit in India to target many politicians and famous personalities in the nation. It is said that he joined hands with ISI and international terror organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).

NIA in May raided 29 locations including those linked to the trustee of Haji Ali Dargah and Mahim Dargah; Samir Hingorah, a convict in the 1993 Mumbai blasts; Salim Qureshi, brother-in-law of Chhota Shakeel, and others. United Nations Security Council in the year 2003 announced a bounty of $25 million to capture Dawood Ibrahim.
