NCP leader, Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik has been arrested on Wednesday. He was taken into custody in connection with an alleged money laundering case. Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been grilling Malik in connection with the case for around 6 hours.
The investigation is happening over an alleged land deal linked with the gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar, the sources revealed. The ED has taken the minister into custody and brought him to the office, where the questioning is taking place. ED has been probing the case for some time now. They have conducted raids on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar in her residence in Mumbai.
They have also conducted searches at 10 different locations related to her. While coming out of the ED office, after the arrest, Malik has said that “Have been arrested but not scared. We will fight and win.”
The office of Nawab Malik has tweeted, “Won’t be afraid, Won’t bow down. Be ready for 2024.”
