Ex-Congress veteran leader Ghulam Nabi Azad as anticipated has flagged off his new political party. The name of the party along with the flag was unveiled today. Ex-Congress leader Azad after unveiling the flag of his new party has diversified the details of the flag. Azad in the press conference said that over 1,500 names were sent to him for his new party. “I want the name to be democratic, peaceful & independent,” said Azad in Jammu. It is well known that Azad resigned to his party on August 26th.
The flag which was unveiled had three colors – Mustard, White, and Blue. He has explained that Mustard indicates creativity and unity in diversity. While White indicates peace, Blue indicates freedom, open space, and imagination.
Azad has also said that his party will work on the restoration of full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. It is well known that Azad worked as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir from 2005 to 2008.
