Tirupati: Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Education, IT, and Human Resource Development, celebrated Sankranti with his family in their ancestral village of Naravaripalle. The festivities began early in the morning with the traditional Bhogi Mantalu (bonfire) ceremony, where Lokesh was joined by his wife Nara Brahmani, Visakhapatnam MP Bharat, Bharat’s wife Tejaswini, and Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani.

The group later attended a screening of the Sankranti blockbuster Daaku Maharaaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, at SV Cinemas in Chandragiri. The film has been a massive success, adding a cinematic flair to the celebrations.

During his visit, Lokesh connected with villagers, listened to their concerns, and assured them of prompt resolution of their issues. The festivities in Naravaripalle were marked by rangoli competitions and traditional games, which were enthusiastically observed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Lokesh, and Brahmani. Lokesh’s son Devansh also participated in the activities, bringing joy to the community.

The Nara and Nandamuri families’ presence energized the Sankranti celebrations, with their interactions and active participation creating a festive and memorable atmosphere in Naravaripalle. The event highlighted their close ties to the local community, further strengthening their bond with the villagers.
