Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express condolences over the Kandukur stampede which happened during the Chandrababu Naidu’s roadshow in the Nellore district.
PMO tweeted, “Pained by the mishap at a public meeting in Nellore, AP. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakhs from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased and the injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM”
As many as 8 people died and five others were injured in the stampede during Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s roadshow in the Nellore district. A few people fell into the sewage canal as well.
On the other hand, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan stated that these types of incidents are very unfortunate. Pawan Kalyan expressed condolences to the deceased’s families.
