Visakhapatnam: BJP’s MMN Parasurama Raju has been appointed as the new district president for the Visakhapatnam parliamentary constituency. Expressing gratitude to the party high command for the decision, Parasurama Raju promised to strengthen the saffron party across the district, focusing on spreading awareness about Central government schemes to ensure wider beneficiary reach.
A festive mood swept through the BJP office as leaders and party members celebrated the occasion with a rally. Parasurama Raju will oversee the party’s operations not only in Visakhapatnam North, East, South, and West, but also in Gajuwaka and Bheemunipatnam segments.

With over a decade of service to the party, including roles as Araku parliament in-charge and Visakhapatnam North constituency in-charge, Parasurama Raju brings extensive experience to the position.
North constituency MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju praised the party’s decision, emphasizing the importance of Visakhapatnam as a key district for the BJP. He encouraged party members to fully support Parasurama Raju in his new role.
Vishnu Kumar Raju also highlighted the Centre’s Rs. 11,440 crore revival plan for the region, calling it the most substantial support package in the country, and urged employees and protestors to acknowledge the assistance provided.
The event was attended by various leaders, including former district president Raveendra Medapati and SAIL independent director Sagi Kasi Viswanath Raju.
