Controversial MLA Raja Singh has yet again made some sensational comments. Raja Singh likes to be in controversy in one way or the other. He is a Pro-Hindu activist and was recently jailed for his remarks. Now, days before the New Year celebrations, Raja Singh made some interesting comments as well.
In a video message, Raja Singh called to drop off the New Year celebrations as it is not Indian culture but Western. “British ruled us for 200 years and after a lot of struggles we got Independence. Why would we celebrate their tradition? Ours New Year is Ugadi. We should not celebrate New Year on January 1st,” he called the people, especially the youth.
This statement has brought mixed reactions. While this is one side, Hyderabad is gripped with New Year fever. Take any mall or restaurant or shopping malls or pubs, arrangements are being made to celebrate New Year in a grand fashion.
