The differences between the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar have gone to the next level as the former has blocked the latter on Twitter. Only then, the governor took to the same Twitter and posted a few constitutional laws which irked the Chief Minister even more.
After a cabinet meeting at the secretariat, Mamata spoke to the media and said that she was forced to block the Governor as his unethical and unconstitutional statements are too much to handle.
She has also criticized that Governor is behaving like a super guard and treating government officials like his servants. She has also accused that Governor is threatening every Government official CBI to ED, Customs to Kolkata Police Commissioner, Police Commissioner of Kolkata to DG, Chief Secretary to Home Secretary, DMs to SPs.
The Governor after the CMs statements has recited a few constitutional laws on Twitter, one of them read, “Mandated under Article 159 of the Constitution to ensure none in the state “blocks” Constitutional Norms and Rules of Law and those in authority “bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India.”
