Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao highlighted the government’s efforts to make Hyderabad a sewage-free city by initiating multiple Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs).

During his inspection of the Fatehnagar STP along with leaders Sabitha Indra Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, KTR criticized the Congress government for neglecting such vital infrastructure projects. He pointed out that the current administration has undertaken the construction of 31 STPs at a cost of Rs 3,866 crore.

KTR mocked Congress’ plans for the beautification of the Musi River, questioning the need for such massive budgets. He accused opposition leaders of spreading misinformation about the government’s double-bedroom housing scheme and demanded the completion of pending STP works. He also criticized the disparity between policies for the rich and poor under the Congress government.

KTR will further inspect the Kukatpally STP as part of ongoing reviews to ensure the timely completion of sewage treatment projects in Hyderabad.
