Congress Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh today blasted Narendra Modi’s governance. He pointed out that the Modi government is giving free hand to Adani while the most sacred TTD gets a notice and a Rs. 3 Crore fine from the government. He tweeted, “The most sacred Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) visited by lakhs of Indian pilgrims daily gets a notice and a ₹3 crore fine from the Modi Govt while Adani gets away scot-free. Modani Hai Toh Mumkin Hai!”

Going into the details, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) which is visited by lakhs of pilgrims every day has its FCRA on hold for the non-renewal of its registration. Now due to this, the trusts’ “hundi” collections of foreign currency are piling up as the designated bank, refuses to deposit saying the source is unknown.

While TTD has sought the intervention of the government, it in turn sent a notice as a reply along with Rs. 3.19 Crore penalty as well.
