California, New York, Massachusetts, Texas, and Illinois are the top 5 destinations for Indian Students who are looking to go to the United States to pursue higher education. An analysis revealed that the international student flow of foreign students in Illinois is 27 percent Indians and in Texas, it is almost 22 percent.

The study reveals that for the year 2021-22, 9,48,519 foreign students went to America for higher education, and out of the 1.32 lakh students went to California and 1.06 lakh students went to New York. The study further states that New York University stands at the top among the universities chosen by the most students. 21,081 foreign students have joined for the academic year and 17,836 students joined Northeastern University in Boston. 16,956 international students were admitted to Colombia.
