As of now, the death toll from the Turkey-Syria earthquake stands at a little more than 4,000 but according to the World Health Organization, the death toll could increase by eight times.

It is known that an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 hit the nation at 04:17 local time (01:17 GMT) at a depth of 17.9km (11 miles) near the city of Gaziantep. The second quake had a magnitude of 7.5, and its epicenter was in the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaras province where the residents felt the tremors for about 2 minutes.

US Geological Survey (USGS) says that these quakes are the largest in the nation so far. World Health Organization in this regard, warned that the rescuers are combing through the rubbles under the testing snowy conditions. It is being said that the survivors will find it even tougher to find shelter in these conditions.
