With the decision, the road is clear for the Internal Revenue Service to release six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns to a Democrats-led house committee.
Democrats have time until January 3rd to review the documents as Republicans will take over the house after winning the mid-term elections by a small margin. It will be a huge blow to Donald Trump who is already under multiple investigations. House Ways and Means Committee said that they hope to receive Trump’s documents as soon as early next week.
The committee said that they need to scrutinize Trump’s tax returns properly to ensure that the Internal Revenue Service has properly audited Presidential tax returns. The committee came to an understanding that they need to work weekends to catch up with the deadline.
