A major electricity outage hit Pakistan which left the major cities in the nation without electricity. According to the latest update, a fault in the transmission lines is said to be the reason for this breakdown. Imran Rana, Spokesperson, K-Electric stated through a Twitter post, “There are reports of multiple outages from different parts of the city. We are investigating the issue and will keep this space posted.”
The news was confirmed by several news agencies and authorities. The outage, as per the news reports started at 7:30 in the morning and a few areas have been restored in a few hours.
Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) revealed that the two transmission lines from Guddu to Quetta tripped which resulted in no power in 22 districts of Balochistan, including Quetta.
