In the Graduate MLC elections, Telugu Desam Party won both Uttarandhra and East Rayalaseema posts with ease. This is a big shock to the ruling YSRCP who looked to sweep but now are facing the danger of getting swept as the West Rayalaseema voting count is turning in the favor of TDP as well.
Incidentally, Nara Lokesh started his padayatra Yuvagalam from Chittoor which is a part of the West Rayalaseema. This is the weakest segment for TDP and Lokesh started his padayatra which now turned into an intense battle in the MLC elections. No one expected that TDP will give a close fight to YSRCP in this region and surely, Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam had a great impact on the results.
It is a morale-boosting victory for TDP in the MLC elections and from here on, they intend to work with more rejuvenation keeping the 2024 elections in mind.
