Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Minister Nimmala Rama Naidu has stated that the flood levels at Prakasam Barrage are receding. He mentioned in an interaction with the media that the flood flow has decreased from 11 lakh to 8 lakh cusecs.
Rama Naidu shared that relief operations in the flood-affected areas have been intensified. Food, drinking water, and fruits are being distributed to every household.

Chandrababu Naidu has highlighted that there should be no complaints about the unavailability of food. Workers have been deployed to clear the mud from the roads, and food is being distributed via boats and tractors.
Minister Rama Naidu also mentioned that this is the largest flood in the history of Prakasam Barrage. Despite the large-scale disaster, they are moving forward under the guidance of the Chief Minister. He added that boats stuck against the barrage gates will be removed once the floodwaters recede and that efforts will be made to strengthen the embankments in the future.
