Anakapalli: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu criticized the Essentia company’s negligence for the tragic accident in the Achyutapuram SEZ that led to multiple deaths. He stated that the disaster could have been prevented if proper safety measures were taken to control vapor cloud explosions.
Chandrababu Naidu visited the accident site and expressed his sorrow over the incident. He mentioned that internal disputes within the company’s management might have contributed to the lack of safety. He also announced the formation of a high-level committee to investigate the accident and take strict action against those responsible. He also promised Rs. 1 crore in compensation for each victim’s family from the company.
The police have filed a case against the company under relevant sections of the law, and investigations are ongoing.
