Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to receive President Droupadi Murmu on her first visit to Telangana as a part of her South Sojourn in the Winter. It has become a customary thing for the Presidents to visit Hyderabad during the winter in December and Shimla in Summer. Murmu will be reaching Hyderabad today and will be touring Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during her five-day stay.
It is a normal protocol for a state’s Chief Minister to receive the President of India but due to the political differences between KCR and the BJP, many expected the CM to skip receiving the President. But KCR unlike Modi’s visit to Hyderabad has decided to give Murmu a warm welcome.
President during her stay will be visiting Srisailam, Bhadrachalam, and Medaram. She would be inaugurating a few developmental works as well. For the President’s stay, Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bollaram in the Secunderabad cantonment area was made ready.
