Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is expected to visit Visakhapatnam on December 5 and 6 for a two-day tour. His itinerary includes attending the Deep Technology Conference 2024 at Novotel on December 6, organized by the Global Forum for Sustainable Transformation, chaired by former Chief Secretary Thakkar. He will also chair a review meeting at the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) office.
Preparations for the CM’s visit are in full swing. VMRDA Commissioner Viswanathan has directed officials to ensure cleanliness around the office premises, while engineering teams have conducted inspections and implemented necessary changes. Final confirmation of the visit is awaited, with details expected by December 4.

Key State Cabinet Approvals
Ahead of the visit, the State Cabinet, chaired by CM Chandrababu Naidu, approved several critical policies:
IT and Global Competitive Centres Policy 4.0 (2024-29): Promoting remote, hybrid, and coworking spaces with developer incentives.
AP Textile, Apparel, and Garments Policy.
AP Maritime Policy.
AP Tourism (Amendments) Policy.
The Cabinet also sanctioned tenders for stalled infrastructure projects in Amaravati, worth Rs 11,471 crore. These developments align with the government’s focus on boosting economic and infrastructural growth.
