Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is set to shift from his temporary residence in Karakatta, Undavalli, to a newly acquired permanent residence in the Velagapudi area of the Amaravati Capital Region.

Chandrababu Naidu has procured a 5-acre plot in the Velagapudi Revenue Division, strategically located near the Seed Access Road. The location offers proximity to key establishments, including the temporary High Court, Judges’ residences, VIT University, and other important facilities, all within a two-kilometer radius.

The CM’s plot was previously owned by three farmers from the same family and was categorized as returnable land. Chandrababu Naidu reportedly paid the full market price for the property to ensure a smooth acquisition. The site will host the CM’s official residence along with facilities for security personnel, vehicle parking, and other essential amenities.

Currently, land sampling tests are underway, with construction expected to begin shortly. Once completed, the Velagapudi residence will serve as the Chief Minister’s permanent address, symbolizing a significant milestone in Amaravati’s development as the state’s capital.

This move underscores CM’s commitment to the Amaravati project, positioning it as the administrative and political hub of Andhra Pradesh.
