Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on March 7 accused YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of fostering criminal elements in politics for personal gains. He made these remarks during a discussion that followed the state Cabinet meeting.

According to sources, Naidu highlighted the murder of former minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, the alleged conspiracies of Jagan, and the propaganda by his media house. He urged his ministers to effectively counter Jagan’s malicious campaign.
Referring to the Vivekananda Reddy murder case, Naidu criticized Jagan’s changing stance—from demanding a CBI inquiry while in opposition to later opposing it. He alleged that Jagan even tried to frame his own sister, Y.S. Sharmila, in the case.
Naidu also raised concerns over the mysterious death of key witness Rangaiah, Vivekananda’s watchman, calling it suspicious. He drew parallels with past political murders, including that of TDP leader Paritala Ravindra, stressing the need to curb organised crime in the state.
