Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has taken a decision to support the All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) in the upcoming local bodies quota elections for the MLC in Hyderabad. It has been decided to give full support to the candidate from the MIM candidate in the upcoming elections. Before this decision is taken MIM requested BRS the seat should be allocated to them and declare their support as well.
BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao discussed with the party seniors and oblige the request of the MIM. It is to be noted that for the Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Teachers constituency last year, BRS (then TRS) extended support to Katepally Janardhan Reddy of Progressive Recognised Teachers Union (PRTU).
Now, in Telangana, elections are going to be held for two MLC seats with one each in Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahabubnagar under the Teachers category. Polling will be on March 13th and the results will be declared on March 16th.
