Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP unit has announced that the party’s national president and Union Minister JP Nadda will address a public meeting at the Saroornagar Stadium on December 7. The event aims to spotlight the alleged failures of the Congress government in fulfilling its pre-election guarantees during its one-year tenure.

State BJP president G Kishan Reddy is overseeing the preparations for the event. Kishan Reddy recently released a chargesheet accusing the Congress government of not delivering on six key guarantees, along with other promises made before the elections.

Buoyed by recent electoral successes in Haryana and Maharashtra, the BJP has turned its focus to Telangana, seeking to expand its influence ahead of local body and MLC elections. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured an impressive 35% vote share in Telangana, winning eight seats, while the opposition BRS failed to win any. The BJP’s membership drive has also seen significant growth, crossing 37 lakh members in the state, further solidifying its base.

This meeting is also a part of the party’s broader strategy to consolidate its position and challenge the Congress government’s performance, reinforcing its campaign momentum in Telangana.
