The Andhra Pradesh government today introduced Rs. 2.79 lakh crore worth of budget in the assembly. Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy introduced the budget by announcing allocations with each sector. He said that the vision of YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been reflected in the budget allocations with a key focus on the economic uplift of farmers, women empowerment, and the handholding of weaker sections.

The government allocated Rs 11,589 crore for agriculture for the upcoming fiscal year. In order to these, Rs 4,020 crore has been allocated to YSR Rythu Barosa. The state allocated Rs 1,166 crore for skill development and Rs 6,500 crore for Amma Vodi Scheme. In addition, the government is going to spend Rs 29,690 crore for the secondary education sector.

In the latest budget, Rs. 1,000 Crores has been allocated for interest-free loans to the self-help groups. Annual budget another key spending is the empowerment of the weaker sections. Rs.38,605 Crore for the BC component, Rs.20,005 crore for the SC component, Rs. 6,929 crore for the ST component, Rs. 4887 crore for Kapu welfare, and Rs.4,203 crore for Minority welfare has been allocated.

The Finance Minister has next concentrated on the important sectors of health, panchayat raj, etc., Rs. 15, 882 crore for Medical, Health, and Family welfare, Rs. 15, 873 crore for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Rs. 9,381crore for Municipal and Urban Development, Rs. 6700 crore for YSR Asara, Rs. 5000 crore for YSR Cheyuta and Rs. 1600 crore for YSR-PM Bima Yojana will be given.
