Amaravati: In a recent cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, several significant decisions were made for Andhra Pradesh. Notably, the cabinet approved the Land Titling Act Repeal Bill and a free sand policy. Additionally, a Rs 2,000 crore loan for the Civil Supplies Department was ratified.

The cabinet also decided to establish a committee to finalize procedures for crop insurance premium payments. The committee, comprising Agriculture Minister Atchennaidu, Revenue Minister Angani, and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar, has been directed to consult with officials and submit a report within two days. The committee will determine whether farmers should pay premiums voluntarily or if the government should decide on their behalf.
This decision aims to streamline premium payment processes for the crop insurance scheme, ultimately benefiting farmers in Andhra Pradesh.
