Sources indicate that the budget’s total outlay may fall between Rs 2.7 lakh crore and Rs 2.9 lakh crore, addressing expenditures for the year’s last quarter. Priorities include welfare programs and election manifesto promises, such as the Super Six guarantees, with specific provisions likely for the recently launched Deepam 2.0 scheme. Significant allocations are also anticipated for major infrastructure projects in Amaravati and Polavaram, vital to the state’s development.

Earlier, a vote-on-account of Rs 2.86 lakh crore was introduced by the previous YS Jagan Mohan Reddy administration, including Rs 1.09 lakh crore approved for April through July. An ordinance issued on July 31 allowed further funds allocation from August 1 to November 30 with an outlay of Rs 1.29 lakh crore.

The session will likely introduce new bills, including the Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Bill 2024, and the repeal of outdated acts such as the Land Grabbing Act of 1982. With both financial and legislative agendas, this session holds significant potential for Andhra Pradesh’s governance and growth.
