Tirumala: In a major relief for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and their families, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has issued a new Government Order (GO) increasing the daily break darshan quota from 50 to 100 persons. This move, approved by the Additional Executive Officer of TTD, will now allow immediate family members of NRIs residing in India—especially elderly parents and in-laws—to avail of the special darshan along with the NRIs.

According to the official order dated February 5, 2025, the decision was taken following a proposal from the Deputy Executive Officer of the temple. The quota increase is applicable to APNRTs (Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society) members and their families on a payment basis. This initiative is expected to make Tirumala darshan more accessible and convenient for NRI devotees visiting the sacred shrine with their loved ones.

The Additional Executive Officer’s office has instructed temple authorities to comply with established procedures while processing requests from the APNRT Society. This move is being widely welcomed by devotees, as it ensures that elderly family members of NRIs can also experience the divine darshan of Lord Venkateswara without difficulties.
