Due to heavy fog, several vehicles collided and piled up on top of each other on the Zhengxin Huanghe bridge in China. Pictures and videos of this incident have turned viral on social media. According to the CCTV, several people were struck in their cars and a few of them were injured. It is being reported that a person died due to the massive mishap. Preliminary estimates reveal that more than 200 vehicles collided with each other on the bridge in the central Chinese city of Zhengzhou in Henan province due to excessive fog conditions.
There were no further reports regarding the incident or the injured. It is being said that due to the massive fog, visibility in many areas including Huanghe bridge was only 500 meters.
According to the media, the local fire department is in the rescue act and deployed 11 fire trucks and 66 fire rescue personnel to the scene.
