It is known that the recent mid-term elections are being held in America. While many people of Indian descent have already achieved success, the latest to join the list is Indo-American Nabeela Syed. She creates history by becoming the youngest member to get elected to the Illinois House in the US mid-terms. She is just 23 years old.

Nabeela Syed was born in Palatine and she graduated from the University of Berkley, California in Political Science and Business Administration. Syed defeated Republican Party candidate Chris Bos by a handsome majority. She reportedly got 52.3 percent votes.

“When I announced for State Representative, I made it a mission to genuinely engage in conversation with people – to give them a reason to get involved in our democracy and hope for better leadership that represents their values. We won this race because we engaged in that conversation,” Nabeela posted on her Instagram after getting elected.
