A Hyderabadi woman named Syeda Lulu Minhaj Zaidi who went to the United States to pursue a Master’s Degree was found starving on the streets. She looks malnourished and in the video that has gone viral, she was offered help. Minhaj Zaidi, a resident of Moula Ali in the Medchal district went to the United States in August 2021. She was doing a Masters in Information Science from TRINE University, Detroit, and was found to be in depression.
Minhaj Zaidi’s mother Syeda Wahaj Fatima came to know about the situation through Hyderabad youth and appealed to Minister for External Affairs S. Jaishankar to intervene to bring her daughter back to India as soon as possible.
Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) leader Amjedullah Khan tweeted about the whole scenario. Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Khaleequr Rahman has also reacted and appealed to the Minister for External Affairs to look into the matter very soon.
