Andhra Pradesh Ex-irrigation minister Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao attended the NATS volleyball tournament winning ceremony. North American Telugu Society (NATS) conducted the tournament on September 3rd in different categories. In the 12th edition of the volleyball tournament held under the auspices of the Dallas wing of NATS, Texas, around 35 teams were put forward to participate, out of which 28 teams got the opportunity to play in this tournament.
The tournament was held at the Field House in Grapevine, Texas. The volleyball competitions were held in two categories, NATS Pro Cup and NATS Advanced Cup. In this, Volley Wolves won the NATS Pro Cup. The Gravity Wins team was the runner-up. NATS Advanced Cup was won by the VVS1 team. The Vikings team was the runner-up.
Former Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma spoke to encourage the players at the closing ceremony of this tournament. He said that such tournaments prove the sports spirit among Telugu people. NATS President Bapu Noothi thanked Devineni Uma for gracing the closing ceremony.
