Amazon’s key suggestion to the US government regarding green cards
Leading corporate giant Amazon made a key suggestion to the US government regarding Green Cards. The Department of Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has recently advised not to waste the green cards that have become available this year. It has been suggested that a decision should be taken in the case of employment-based green cards by the end of this financial year.
It is said that by the end of June more than one lakh green cards are in the pending state. The latest information is that USCIS has not taken any decision on these. Already a few corporate organizations requested the government to look into the issue. People who immigrated to the US before 2020 had to wait for a long time for the issuance of green cards.
With COVID, the wait has extended.
