Prayagraj: A family from Dhanbad, Jharkhand, has been reunited with their missing relative, Gangasagar Yadav, who was allegedly spotted at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj after 27 years.
Gangasagar, now living as Baba Rajkumar Aghori, was seen at the festival with a Sadhvi. A relative, who was attending the Mela, captured a photograph of him, which was sent to the family in Dhanbad. Upon recognizing him, his sons Vimlesh and Kamlesh, along with their mother Dhanwa Devi, traveled to Prayagraj to confirm his identity.

Despite their efforts, Gangasagar, who refuses to acknowledge his family, insisted he had no connection to them. He now identifies himself as an Aghori Sadhu. However, his family is confident in his identity, pointing to distinguishing features such as a scar on his forehead and long teeth.
The family has filed a request for a DNA test with the Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner to resolve the matter. If their claims are proven incorrect, they have vowed to apologize unconditionally.
Gangasagar went missing in 1998 while on a trip to Patna, and his family had lost all hope of finding him. After decades, this chance encounter at the Kumbh Mela has raised questions about his disappearance.
The Yadav family continues to wait for the conclusion of the festival to proceed with the DNA test.
